Michelle Boggess-Nunley

Michelle Boggess-Nunley is an international artist from Detroit, Michigan, specializing in representational paintings, painting instruction and storybook illustration. She is the current Guinness World Record holder for the World's Largest Hand-Drawn Maze, which was completed over a 3.5 month period at Posterity Gallery in Grosse Pointe Village to benefit Detroit youth art programs left underfunded due to Covid-19. Her paintings have been displayed at exhibitions such as Art Revolution Taiwan 2020, ArtExpo NY 2018, and galleries such as the Jackson Junge Gallery in Chicago. Her work often highlights diversity, with a strong statement that there is strength in differences. Besides teaching and painting art, Michelle is also creates children's story and activity books with titles including 'I am a Lenny', 'Wizard World Mazes' & 'Critters Activity Books'


Michelle has dedicated her professional life to creating and bringing art to others through her stories and classes. In an effort to make art more available in her local community, she created the traveling art studio, known as On The Gogh in April 2019. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators, serves on the Board of the Grosse Pointe Artist Association and is accredited through STEM for her various art classes.
